Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive test plans to ensure software quality.

  • Design test cases based on user stories and requirements to verify functionality, performance, and security.

  • Execute test cases, both automated and manual, to identify software defects.

  • Document and track defects, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating automated test scripts as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Up to 2 years of experience in software testing or a related field.

  • Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of software development and testing methodologies.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C#.

  • Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with test automation tools.

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.

  • Understanding of performance and security testing principles.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $81,350 to $117,200 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
