The Business Development Specialist for Hillcrest Medical Research will report to the Site Director, this position is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new client leads to support Hillcrest Medical Research. This individual will be highly motivated, and able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources, prospect lists, discovery, and individual research.
Our services include solutions for clinical trials:
- Phase 2, 3, & 4 clinical Trials
- Clinical trial inclusion and exclusion criteria, including diverse patients
- Range of therapeutic areas, from Devices, Allergies, to Vaccines
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business and develop new contacts –ability to set meetings with new clients.
- Be knowledgeable and proficient in representing all services to sponsors and prospects.
- Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to identify appropriate potential sponsors.
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential clients.
- Work with Hillcrest Medical Research to develop and grow the client pipeline to consistently meet quarterly goals.
- Prepare and update account strategy documents as required (excel spreadsheet, etc.).
- All work must be accurately documented.
- Meet, call, and email clients at biotech/pharmaceutical/diagnostics companies, CROs, and academic institutions to identify and discuss clinical sample and research service needs.
- Coordinate strategic meetings between customer’s and appropriate Company leadership to win large-scale projects with substantial revenue potential
- Respect the privacy of the personal information of patients, co-workers, and all individuals with whom the Company interacts
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations
- Pro-actively engage new leads, delivering a superior consultative sales partnership to our clients
- Own and direct a sub-set of client accounts, responsible for realization of studies
- Lead project management activities, driving external partners toward timely delivery of study account goals.
- Network with local physicians on behalf of HMR
- Responsible for HMR advertising
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in the clinical research, medical field, clinical trials, and/or patient recruitment site solutions.
Comfortable at presenting to Site Director, include a deep understanding of site’s offering and match with client needs
