Community Relations Coordinator

Full Time / In-Office / Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
Starting Range: $25.00 - 28.50 (based on qualifications and education)
The purpose of this position is to provide coordination and facilitation of Artesia Christian Home’s strategies that involve both the internal and external community. This includes but is not limited to implementing the marketing plans and strategies to build census & facilitate admissions, promoting the Artesia Christian Home, it’s services and offerings to the Community, implementing fundraising tasks & strategies to support our organizational development goals, and coordinating Special Services, which includes, events, parties and/other special opportunities internal or external for the organization. Additionally, this position manages the Artesia Christian Home’s Volunteer Program. Additional duties are designed to support staff and residents in all working and living areas at the Artesia Christian Home.
Qualifications:
1. Must pass a California criminal background clearance.
2. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
3. Must have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
4. Must be computer literate and have experience with MS Office; Willing and able to learn additional programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Office. Web Analytics is also required.
5. Demonstrate an open and compassionate heart for the care and well-being of the
elderly and their families.
6. Must be in good physical and mental condition and capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Good health must be verified by a health screening performed by a licensed physician, including a chest X-ray or intradermal test for TB.
• Must be able to hear, talk, and have a clear vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, kneel, and move intermittently during working hours and lift or exert force of up to 25 lbs.
7. Must possess administrative skills to carry out the job duties listed; must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
8. Must possess excellent customer relations, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
9. Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.
10. Must be social media savvy, see the business, and understand the need to promote ACH to the community.
11. Background in fundraising and development is highly desirable.
12. Multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
