The Director, Corporate Partnerships will be a critical member of Playfly Sports’ New York Racing Association (NYRA) / New Belmont Park team based in New York City. The successful candidate will be an experienced, polished sales executive with existing relationships in the New York region. This position will focus on sourcing, pitching, negotiating and closing partnerships across NYRA platforms – including, but not limited to, Saratoga Race Course and New Belmont Park.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Identifying and sourcing new corporate partners
  • Cold calling potential partners
  • Identifying new sponsorable inventory
  • Face-to-face sales meetings and presentations
  • Maintaining and presenting client pipelines
  • Developing sales presentations and proposals
  • Travel domestically or internationally to meet with new or existing clients
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of sales experience with a verifiable track record of success in sponsorship sales
  • Solid network of high-level contacts with brands, specifically in the New York region
  • Strong sports industry knowledge, specifically as it relates to sponsorships/commercial revenue programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven account management experience
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work solo or within a team atmosphere
  • Sports industry experience strongly desired
COMPENSATION The base pay range for this role is $110,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
