Job Description: Machinist- 2nd shift - 2pm to 10pm - Requires steel toed shoes

Pay Rate: *** per hour plus 5% shift diff = *** per hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specification, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.

Ability to read drawings and tape measure accurately. Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction,

multiplication and division for whole numbers and fractions. Basic understanding of the difference between

standard and metric measurements

Ability to learn how to operate band saw, drill press and beveling machines. Ability to safely use a cutting

torch and grinding equipment.

Ability to perform basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure in decimals and

fractions. Able to calculate dimensions and angles.

Ability to perform basic layout work. Experience in use of measuring equipment including micrometers,

calipers, and rulers. As well as height, thread, and pin gages.

Other duties as may be deemed by management or the lists below.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION

0-3 years of experience or equivalent.

High school diploma.

An understanding of machining fundamentals.

Heavy lifting (frequently 25ilbs +).

Regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles.

Stooping, climbing, and standing.
