Manual Machinist

The Machinist perform repairs, overhaul, and rework of aviation parts, tooling and components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates manual machines, mills (small and large), lathes, grinders, and other machinery Operates a CNC machine. We operate a HAAS 3 axis mill and a CNC machine Performs rework on aviation components parts and tooling Changes and sets cutting tools Modifies and grinds tools as needed Works within very tight tolerances Studies and interprets engineer drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 5 years’ experience in manual machining required Prior machining experience in aviation industry preferred Experience with manual machines Experience with CNC machines Experience with large jig bore machine is a plus Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed Ability to work in a shop environment or outdoors locally or in remote locations as needed for customer support Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
