Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager – Operational Accounting, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial information for the Outpatient Medical segments of Healthpeak’s property portfolio. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Review monthly variance analyses for portfolio of Outpatient Medical buildings and hospitals
  • Prepare and review cash reconciliations
  • Review ground and tenant lease agreements for accurate set up in accounting software or manual tracking.
  • Prepare and/or analyze monthly account reconciliations
  • Perform monthly activities relating to financial close
  • Prepare annual budgets for select in-house managed properties
  • Analyze tenant recoveries
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with SOX documentation
  • Coordinate with property managers to obtain support for audit requests
  • Prepare various quarterly schedules to support 10-Q/K disclosures
  • Assist in reviewing work assignment of Accounting Associate(s)
  • As requested, participate or lead ad-hoc projects
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably majoring in Accounting
  • Expert Excel user – experience includes working with Macros, Pivot tables, and index match, to start
  • 3 - 5 years of experience
  • Experience in multi-entity / multi-facility environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work some overtime
  • Limited travel
  • Team and goal-oriented with a curiosity to learn and develop new skills
