Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll/Benefit Specialist with a strong background in payroll administration and human resources to oversee aspects of human resources functions and payroll responsibilities for several company locations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, regulations, and best practices, coupled with hands-on experience in managing payroll processes efficiently and accurately. Experience with California Employment Law preferred. Experience with ADP WFN and HRIS and UKG Workforce Ready preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, process, and maintain end-to-end multi-state payroll for weekly and bi-weekly pay cycles, including but not limited to payroll calculations, deductions, garnishments, taxes, fringe benefits, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Time & Attendance knowledge and experience to perform a review and audit of timecards, export payroll file from UKG to ADP for hourly employees, and run reports for GL reconciliation.
  • Verify company time & attendance and payroll policies and procedures are followed to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing needs with site management to include creating requisitions and posting jobs through ADP WFN.
  • Complete new hires and administer onboarding in ADP WFN.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality and data security in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and reconcile benefit invoices. Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure company policies and procedures remain compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in HR roles, with a focus on payroll administration and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and record-keeping.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG) required.
  • Ability for some travel.
