Job DescriptionJob Description8am - 5pm Position background ? What does this position accomplish for the business? Prepare and review authorization requests for medical review to meet regulatory requirements. Please describe the team the candidate will be working with (number of team members break-down of the team?s skill sets team culture etc.). Team of 12 care coordinators that all telecommute and collaborate virtually to ensure patient care is well coordinated and decisions on authorization requests are made timely. What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)? Benefit checks, eligibility checks, health plan evidence of coverage validation, coordinator level review, critical thinking, time management What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)? managed care background with UM experience is preferred What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? 1+ years experience in managed care, 1+ years experience in UM What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)? Medical Assistant experience is preferred Does this position require a professional license or certification? No If so please list. What are the work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc.)? 8am - 5pm What is the dress code (ex: business casual scrubs etc.)? NA How would you prefer to interview?
