Duties range from case preparation and file management to client communication, drafting routine documents, collection of relevant information, and trial preparation.  The ideal candidate has a minimum of three year experience in litigation, legal drafting and E-Filing.  As a member of the firm, you will play a key role in the representation, mediation, conflict resolution and client management of over 2,000 investment entities and individuals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Dependent on Experience

Expected hours: 40 per week

Travel requirement: No travel

Work Location: In person, no remote work option


You should apply if you any of the following:

  • Have experience recording real estate documents (deeds, mortgages, assignments) in Missouri and Kansas.
  • Have experience filing cases on Casenet (Missouri) and e-flex (Kansas).
  • Have experience with Pacer for filing documents in bankruptcy cases, preparing trial notebooks, exhibit / witness lists, discovery indexes, Bates-stamping discovery documents.
  • Have experience with Clio or similar case management software.
  • Have experience with hourly billing.
  • Familiarity with redaction requirements for exhibits filed in state and federal court.
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced, energized, collaborative environment.
  • You have excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • You are self-motivated and work well with little supervision.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to comply with company and departmental procedures.
  • You have knowledge of law office procedures and local court/jurisdiction rules and procedures.


Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Three years experience in litigation, legal drafting and e-filing.
