Job Summary:


The Facilities Assistant will work with the Facilities and Operations teams on a day-to-day basis to assist in maintenance services. The successful candidate will be a collaborator and self-starter with a strong ability to follow through on daily assigned tasks. In addition, they must be reliable, communicative and maintain a professional demeanor. The candidate will need to be able to interact with a variety of different personalities and be responsive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

The Role:

  • Receive and respond to incoming facilities-related helpdesk tickets, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, campus maintenance, etc.
  • Assist and have experience in replacing electrical outlets, light switches, and ballasts
  • Assist in managing cleaning and janitorial crews for each office location and ensure nightly cleaning is complete to the highest standards
  • Assist in vendor management including, but not limited to, sanitation, garbage, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
  • Assist the operations team with any employee moves, events, and truck loading/unloading
  • Maintain facilities inventory including, but not limited to, tools, cleaning supplies, and maintenance supplies
  • Manage the organization and cleanliness of the facilities' work area
  • Assist facilities manager in inspections and responding to all safety concerns
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner

Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will be a collaborator and self-starter with a strong ability to follow through on daily assigned tasks. In addition, they must be reliable, communicative and maintain a professional demeanor. The candidate will need to be able to interact with a variety of different personalities and be responsive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of facilities related experience
  • 1 year of customer service related experience
  • Previous experience with HVAC controls/maintenance
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines
  • Comfortable working with a computer
  • Reliable transportation to travel to all Chrysalis locations is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Experience in carpentry, power tools, and electrical a plus
