Job Description

Job Description Summary 

This position is responsible for the operations of a distribution center including the planning, organizing, and directing of key activities like receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods.  This position also manages the warehouse staff, budget, inventory, equipment, safety, and quality standards.  The role requires working in a highly cross functional environment.  The ability to influence and negotiate internally and externally and to provide guidance to suppliers is critical.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement warehouse strategies, policies, and procedures to align with the company’s goals and vision
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse, including inbound and outbound processes, inventory management, space utilization, and logistics
  • Monitor and evaluate the warehouse performance, productivity, and efficiency using key performance indicators (KPIs) and data analysis
  • Ensure compliance with all warehouse-related laws, regulations, and best practices, such as health and safety, hygiene, and security
  • Manage the warehouse budget and control the warehouse costs and expenses
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the warehouse staff and provide feedback and coaching
  • Maintain and improve the warehouse equipment, systems, and infrastructure and ensure proper maintenance and repair
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, transport companies, and senior management
  • Resolve any warehouse-related issues or problems and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare and present warehouse reports and statistics to senior management and other relevant parties

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field
  • Proven experience as a warehouse manager, warehouse supervisor, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, systems, and software
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and quality orientation
  • Strong grasp of Hana Group standards, mission and core values
