The candidate selected for this role will train in the Danville, IL plant for approximately 6-12 months, depending on experience. Once the initial training is completed, the position will be located in Montgomery, AL, at the appropriate time based on several criteria. Travel will be expected in this role.

Job Purpose

The primary objective is to work with the Director of Customer Service, the World Wide CS Manager, and the US CS personnel to implement all activities and changes related to the Company Transformation Project and other related projects. Ultimately, the position could replace the current Director of CS after the completion of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must learn and understand basic CSR activities, including:
    1. Customer Master Data
    2. Order Entry, Follow up, and expediting
    3. Pricing and Invoicing including EDI’s
    4. Navision for Claims, Samples, Analysis, etc.
    5. Forecast Accuracy, New Item Requests and other Supply Chain tools
    6. Slow & Obsolete casings
    7. Rebates
    8. ICFRs
    9. KPIs
  • Must be able to lead and follow up on projects/action items
  • Must be able to report on progress via Email/Word/PowerPoint
  • Must be able to travel between Montgomery, AL and Danville, IL on a regular basis

Qualifications

  • Education – High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree a plus)
  • Experience – 3 years Inside Sales for a manufacturing company
  • Specialized knowledge – Food/Meat/Casing Industry experience a plus
  • Skills – Must know SAP, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Abilities – Able to communicate well via person, phone or email, must be friendly, professional and a team player, must be able to multi-task and have good time management and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented and have good problem solving skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Project Management Skills a plus
