Job purpose

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating, producing, and managing content across APL FCU’s communication and marketing channels that will supply meaningful information to our members and local community, while drawing in new audiences to our credit union. This person will assist in collecting and analyzing critical data and metrics that will help guide the marketing department and achieve the credit unions strategic goals.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with maintaining the credit union's website by monitoring Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Accessibility reports as well as utilization trends
  • Prepares monthly reporting for various marketing trends. Coordinates and executes research on competitors and industry. Reports findings to the team as necessary.
  • Collects, analyzes, and applies member and market data to identify member needs, opportunities for market growth and expansion, and effective methods to promote products and services
  • Identifies data from internal and external sources that can be used to drive product development or be used in other marketing campaigns
  • Assists in writing, developing and editing credit union communication and public facing materials; ensuring style and brand consistency
  • Writes, revises and edits copy and content for advertising materials, forms, emails, letters, newsletters, website and social media platforms where applicable
  • Develops visually appealing art and copy layouts for digital, social and traditional marketing channels, including, but not limited to website ads, brochures, newsletters, posters, and emails.
  • Assist in writing and producing content and/or video series to post publically on the credit union website or other applicable platforms.
  • Assists with implementing advertising and promotional campaigns for the credit union.
  • Works closely on areas of marketing outreach, product development, success measurement, market segmentation, member experience and competitor analysis.
  • Be the go-to expert for new member acquisition campaigns, evaluating marketing channels, and designing campaigns that reach predetermined goals.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other related field of study required. A combination of education and related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of marketing, business, or communications experience preferred; preference given to financial services industry experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Intermediate level HTML experience
  • Intermediate project management experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of project lifecycles and project management methodologies
  • Intermediate level skills in research, analytics, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate to Expert level interpersonal, verbal and written communications
  • Intermediate to Expert level in editing and proofreading skills

Working conditions

Work hours will normally be from Monday through Friday and may change depending upon our needs. Accessibility to VPN and website admin platform will be made available to make necessary changes outside of normal business hours if needed. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement at the discretion of the credit union.

Employee must be bondable and maintain and acceptable credit history.
