Somfy Systems seeks a highly-organized professional to plan, organize, direct and manage the overall operations for the Retail Channel Inside Sales Team across North American facilities. This position will act as a liaison between customers, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions to meet our customers’ needs. Job Description

We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Controls Product team to own the residential suite of products. Working with the team, you will be at the intersection of hardware, software, and our customer experience team ensuring that our products deliver meaningful outcomes. You will work to identify new opportunities and enhancements in our current product offering, as well as help shape our next generation of products. You will work closely with global product teams, engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure business goals and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

Qualifications

Manage the Controls Portfolio (remotes, keypads, sensors, integration devices) that work in connected and non-connected solutions. - Partner with sales, product, and user research to constantly learn about the customers and their needs. - Drive requirement definition, customer experience design, product roadmap and prioritization. - Work with other Somfy Product Managers to align roadmaps where applicable. - Work with program team to ensure global developments are executed on schedule. - Conduct and maintain a thorough benchmark of smart home systems and smart shading competitive products. - Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples. - Collaborate with Marketing to develop effective launch plans to effectively communicate the value and benefits to different customer segments. - Work independently and with internal teams to develop and deliver effective trainings, presentations and product demonstrations. - Execute on go-to-market plans with product, marketing, and sales to drive awareness, adoption, upsell, and retention. - Perform product demos to customers and act as the subject matter expert in product line reviews with customers.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering, or computer science
  • 5+ years of proven professional experience in engineering, project management, marketing, sales and/or technical services.
  • 2+ years in Product / Product Marketing an asset
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Interpersonal and strong verbal and written verbal skills to effectively understand and express complex issues and solutions.
  • Passion and interest in technology and how it can improve people’s lives.

Act as an influencer within the company’s entities for all the above responsibilities: You will work with peers locally and internationally in roles of product management, project management, engineering, marketing, purchasing, sales.

Self-motivated with a high level of creativity and a sense of urgency Excellent PC skills that include MS Windows and MS Office-Excel, Word, PowerPoint Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Excellent organizational skills



Additional Information

Typical 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. 20% travel required
