Responsible for developing and releasing production schedules for building finished goods. Must command a knowledge of scheduling activities in a production environment with exceptional organizational, computer, and communication skills. Manage product delivery to clients, by creating schedules, and meeting production goals and delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Expected to work very closely with all aspects of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and ensure manufacturing processes are carried out properly.
  • Maintain workflow by setting production schedule and inventory requirements; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; implementing cost reductions; and developing reporting procedures/systems.
  • Arrange freight for customers and handle all freight-related issues.
  • Help maintain proper inventory counts and levels.
  • Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Create all work orders and release work orders daily to production.
  • Review material supply/requirements and determine actions to avoid material shortages.
  • Document key information for analysis (downtime, peak production, inventory, and scheduling accuracy).
  • Efficiently assign production to minimize company costs and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Work with the manager to execute and implement process improvements.

  • Strong working knowledge of effective supply chain performance (supply planning, supplier management, etc.).
  • Strong passion for creating process and systems improvement.
Work Environment: The office environment, occasionally requires visits to the plant area. Ear/eye protection is provided.

Physical Demands: Applicant may be physically required to lift 10 lbs.

Position Type/Work Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience
  • A two-year trade school or four-year college degree is strongly recommended.
  • Minimum of 2-3 related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
