Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Product Development Engineering professional for this position at our North Brunswick, NJ facility.  The individual who accepts this role will have the opportunity to work directly with our Window and Door products as well as collaborate across all of Cornerstone Building Brands.  Qualified applicants will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in product design, The successful candidate will have opportunities for visibility at many levels in the organization and will work closely with Product Management, Project Management, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.  Advancement opportunities are present throughout multiple departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

3+ years’ experience in Product Development, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or other technical function working with product and/or manufacturing specifications.

Experience in CAD modeling: AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks

Experience in Six Sigma is a plus.

Experienced user of Microsoft office products including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Experience in part measurements and inspections.

Ability to manage engineering documentation.

Able to create technical reports that summarize analysis and detailed findings to peer group and management audiences.

Able to lead others on projects and assignments when necessary.

Manages the implementation of data and product changes through the Engineering Change Process.

Provide technical product data support. Answer questions, and perform investigations for customers, sales, service, QA and others as needed. 

Proven ability to manage multiple projects using excellent project management skills.

Ability to communicate across multiple business functions and levels.

Versatile with demonstrated mastery of technical expertise across a wide variety of assembly and fabrication processes. 

Knowledge of Smartsheet is a plus.

Knowledge of fenestration products and building codes a plus.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Knowledge of tool design, machine design, process and workstation design is a plus.
