Position Overview:

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety are always maintained. You will lead a dedicated team of production professionals, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.



Key Responsibilities:

·        Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and motivate a team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.


·        Staff Scheduling: Take charge of staff scheduling, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet production requirements while maintaining labor efficiency and adherence to labor laws and company policies. Create and maintain work schedules, manage overtime, and adjust staffing levels as needed to accommodate fluctuations in demand. Collaborate with HR to address staffing needs, including hiring, training, and performance management. 


·        Production Planning: Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demands, optimize resource utilization, and achieve production targets within budgetary constraints.


·        Quality Control: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other industry standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards, updating policies and procedures as necessary. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory compliance efforts.


·        Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


·        Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.


·        Safety Compliance: Conducting regular safety and compliance, safety audits, implementing safety protocols, and providing ongoing training to ensure a safe working environment.


·        Supplier and Vendor Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.


·        Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics, analysing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.


·        Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments to address production issues, drive product innovation, and ensure seamless execution of projects.



Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field

·        Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role within the cosmetic or related industry.

·        Strong knowledge of cosmetic manufacturing processes, GMP, FDA regulations, and quality management systems.

·        Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower team members to achieve operational excellence.

·        Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

·        Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.

·        Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
