Position Summary:     

Sovah Danville is seeking a full-time Lead Radiology Assistant to perform tasks that assist the technologists in completion of various radiologic procedures.  Primary duties will be related to patient transport.  

  • Transports patients from one section of Radiology to another and from other areas of the Medical Center.
  • Assists with cleaning of patient, if necessary.
  • Observe patients awaiting radiographic procedures as well as patients waiting to return to their rooms.
  • Report any suspected problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with the transfer of patients from stretcher or wheelchair to and from the x-ray table or treatment table. 
  • Maintains designated work area and equipment in a safe condition.
  • Complies with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Cleans transport equipment as needed.
  • Monitors oxygen tanks for pressure and exchanges tanks when necessary


Minimum Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. If no HS Diploma, you have one year to obtain your GED.
