Job Description

Job Summary:
Winners start here at Route 1 Hyundai which is a leading automotive dealership in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, (ranked number 8 in the Nation) seeks a highly motivated and experienced Hyundai Sales Consultant to join our sales team. As a sales Consultant, you will provide top-notch customer service and drive new and pre-owned Hyundai vehicle sales. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a base draw, commission, and potential for a sign-on bonus for candidates with 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry. Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all potential and existing customers
  • Meet and exceed sales goals set by the dealership
  • Educate customers on the features and benefits of Hyundai vehicles
  • Conduct test drives and assist customers in selecting the right vehicle for their needs
  • Negotiate and close sales deals
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to promote repeat and referral business
  • Utilize all available resources to stay up to date on Hyundai models, features, and incentives
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current inventory, pricing, and promotions
  • Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage future business on the phone and via email 
  • Participate in sales training and meetings to continually improve knowledge and skills

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive sales preferred or sales experience 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus
  • Knowledge of Hyundai vehicles and features is preferred or automotive knowledge 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
