Mechanical Systems Engineer

This position is primary responsible for cycling through various areas of the business including New Equipment Construction, Plant Engineering, and Field Service and Technical Support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Focus primarily on Mechanical design and research for various projects and business units.
2. Will perform field service and technical support.
3. Responsible for project cost estimation and resource budgeting.
4. Work primarily out of plant locations in Hebron and Newark, Ohio but must be willing to work on field projects outside of these locations.
5. Interact with customers on a daily basis.
6. Study and create new technology drawings for product improvements or development.
7. Recommend and implement electrical equipment upgrades and improvements at various MPW locations.
8. Performs other duties as directed.

Required Experience
1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Technology.
2. Associate degree with appropriate experience will be considered.
3. Technical experience in dealing with pumps valves electronics and piping.
4. Strong technical/mechanical skills.
5. Experience with 2 & 3D CADD software.
6. Experience with Solid Works.
7. Candidates should have proficiency with all MS Office applications.
8. Hands-on ability is a must.
9. Experience with water purification technology is preferred.
10. Familiarity with mechanical codes and compliance.
11. Individually motivated.
12. Must be willing to travel.
