We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You'll be responsible for greeting clients as they come to the office for their appointments, managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ordering office supplies. You'll also assist with preparing legal documents, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. This is very much a client-facing position, so if you enjoy talking with people this could be a great fit

Responsibilities

•Accept client payments
•Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines
•Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly
•Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events

Qualifications

•Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills
•Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs
•Must be able to type at least 50 WPM
•1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant
•Some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required
