**Position will train on 1st shift then move to 3rd shift**

What’s a typical day as a CNC Machine Operator? You’ll be:

• Programming, setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines.

• Defining tooling, fixturing, and gauging required in the manufacturing process.

• Reviewing CNC operations and ensuring proper work center selection, work content, tooling, cycle times, and raw materials.

• Developing detailed machining sequences, methods, tooling, and setup information.

• Collaborating with engineering to develop and maintain manufacturing routings and bills of material.

• Recording and releasing manufacturing orders within the ERP system.

• Maintaining pre-production records and files.

• Recommending corrective actions to address productivity and quality issues.

• Setting up and operating CNC machines as required.

• Designing and manufacturing fixturing for specific parts.

• Providing support with process questions and troubleshooting.

• Providing guidance to other team members as requested by the supervisor.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a High School Diploma.

• Have 3+ years of relevant metal-cutting experience as a programmer.

• Have a Secondary Degree/Technical Certification OR 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment in lieu of education.

• Can program using G-Code and CAM.

• Have a clear understanding of all machining operations, including milling and turning.

• Can read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and control plans.

• Have basic math skills with knowledge of trigonometry functions.

• Can translate machining drawings and engineering documents to create a finished product.

• Have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with limited direct supervision.

• Are willing to work daily and weekend overtime as required.
