Job Summary



Performs routine work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings and equipment.



Job Duties




  • Ensure work areas are cleaned and address maintenance related incidents (e.g., spills, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and address basic repairs and maintenance including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier and painting tasks
  • Dispose of waste and scrap properly
  • Order parts, supplies and equipment from catalogs and suppliers or obtain them from storerooms
  • Record maintenance and repair work performed and associated costs
  • Assist maintenance department when required
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Experience and Education




  • Perform work under minimal supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer complex issues to higher level staff
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
  • 0 to 2 years of experience

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects
  • Physical stamina
