Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down

  • Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design

  • Algorithm optimization, research and development; trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system

  • Functional analysis of real world and test data

  • Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System

  • Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. In absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required. 

  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace, EE, Physics, Applied Math

  • Knowledge of radar systems (for example - Patriot System)

  • Experience with both broad, large-scale data analysis and focused root-cause analysis

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

  • Experience with design of system level architecture

  • Experience with signal processing techniques, system control

  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection Techniques

  • Experience in requirements development

  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues

  • Familiarity with MATLAB, DOORS, and MS Office

  • Existing DoD Security Clearance

Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
