Key Responsibilities:- Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
- Work with product teams to define product requirements and build systems to fulfill customer needs.
- Develop organized engineering roadmaps for product-related tasks and activities.
- Coordinate with other engineering leads to ensure alignment, coordination, and integration throughout the product development cycle.
- Provide solutions based on system requirements and work with teams to develop solutions to technical issues and updates.
- BS degree in a related discipline (such as electrical engineering, physics, or systems engineering) with years of prior relevant experience or Masters with years of prior relevant experience.
- 2+ years of practical experience as a HW Systems Design Engineer building sensor systems.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
- Experience working and collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams, including leading technical teams and mentoring less experienced scientists.
- Led or played a key role in designing, building, and testing hardware sensing products from concept to market delivery.
- X-ray CT experience.
- Chemical trace detection experience.
- Automated detection experience.
- Basic Linux skills.
