*What we’re looking for:*
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in Cash Application or comparable position strongly preferred.
* Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes required.
* Ability to analyze payment data and identify discrepancies.
* Proven ability to use research, analysis, communication, and other skills to solve problems effectively.
* Ability to perform tasks with extreme attention to detail.
* Intermediate knowledge of word processing programs, spreadsheets, email platforms, accounting software and other communication tools required.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal partners.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high volume and rapidly changing environment.

*Education and Certification Needed:*
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

*What you’ll Do:*
* Meeting daily cash posting goals with accuracy.
* Assist with daily deposit of physical cash and checks.
* Constantly monitor unapplied cash.
* Process electronic customer payments.
* Accurately post payments to and manage customer accounts.
* Utilize problem-solving skills to research discrepancies and unidentified deposits.
* Identify issues associated with short payments and overpayments.
* Organize and maintain electronic documentation file for remittances and deposits.
* Contact customers for missing remittance information.
* Identify issues associated with short payments and overpayments.
* Bank reconciliation process.
* Processing write/offs and offsets.
* Prepare cash reports.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple improvement projects.
* Assist with printing invoices as required.
* Assist with printing monthly customer statements as required.
* Assist with weekly check printing as required.
* Assist with processing write offs and offsets.
* Keep abreast of accounting principles and internal financial processes.
* Efficiently and professionally communicate with internal partners.
* Efficiently and professionally communicate with customers.
* Provide peer team members with guidance and training as needed.
* Assists in managing cash applications overall process, providing updates to Credit & Collections Manager.
* Special projects and other duties as assigned.
* _Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm_
* _In office._

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
