SUMMARY

The IT Applications Analyst serves as the Application technical subject matter expert, provides system administration and support, and performs system configuration, enhancement, and deployment efforts. This role will serve as an active partner, collaborating across IT and with clinical and business leaders to provide strategic analysis and develop data-driven insights. Additionally, this individual will serve as the liaison between clinical/business teams, third party vendors and across IT for system integrations, enhancements, and issue fixes. The Applications Analyst will demonstrate appropriate proficiency in project management, data analytics and reporting, communication with leadership, as well as system knowledge, process analysis, and configuration abilities.

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be seen as knowledgeable in application module capabilities and configuration
  • Address break/fix and service requests submitted by application users
  • Implement ongoing enhancements to improve the application's capabilities to meet the clinical & business operations needs
  • Perform ongoing application maintenance activities
  • Participate in and implement project solutions
  • Bring best practice insight into application capabilities and configuration options
  • Maintain IT Application including data, application version, configuration, user access/profile, integration, and server management
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT and/or related discipline
  • Application related certifications preferred (ARRT, Epic Grand Central or Cadence, RN or BSN)
  • Valid state Driver's License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings. Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required
EXPERIENCE:
  • 1+ years of experience in IT application platforms eliciting business requirements, developing detailed systems specifications, designing, and prototyping, testing, defining support procedures, data conversion, and implementing business process improvements
  • Understanding of clinical/business fundamentals that the application supports
  • Experience within complex healthcare environment and demonstrated success with IT application solutions
  • Experience with networking, on-premise & cloud solutions, databases, data flow, and cyber security are a plus. Programming and database scripting/querying experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows Server environments including Active Directory and Exchange
  • Experience with project planning and delivery of IT Application solutions
  • Experience with Radiation Therapy software configuring scheduling templates, clinical progress notes, and CPT codes. The ability to collaborate and service clinicians as they utilize the software to administer patient care.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Key Performance Areas
  • Serve as a primary support person for the Application
  • Identify and document business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures
  • Participate in working sessions with business to gather, understand and analyze business requirements
  • Support the Application Lead in architecting solutions to ensure work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Advise clinical/business teams on industry standards and leading practices
  • Develop and recommend design options through the use of prototyping
  • Understand and apply Application methodologies
  • Provide Production Support; including triage, bug fixes, enhancements, end-user support, and application monitoring
  • Developing working knowledge of processes and custom validations
  • Assist with testing and support
  • Assist with Ad-hoc report development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues encountered by users
  • Determine, document, prioritize, and develop enhancements
  • Assist users with system questions
  • Plan and perform regression testing for periodic releases
  • Review new functionality to determine impact on existing processes
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team
  • Adherence to regulations & FCS' internal controls and approval processes / change management
  • Assess new application needs and integrate when required
