We have the position for you As a Platform Engineer for Personal Investor, you will be responsible for some technical aspects of our implementations, improving current and future processes, exploring new features and functionality, monitoring our security footprint, analyzing data to make decisions and many other initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert level technical support for the most critical projects.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware or software issues for new and existing technologies and tools.
  • Identify potential solutions and may approve solutions proposed by team members. Resolve complex issues uncovered by testers and internal clients.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on project issues and implications. Evaluate the impacts of change requests on technologies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IT development methodology, architecture design, and technical standards. Mentor IT staff with less experience and identify training needs.
  • Review and approve documentation and diagrams created by IT team members. Write documentation, including technical standards and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Thoroughly understand and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verify that deliverables meet requirements.
  • Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements. Determine the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
  • Train and mentor more junior staff on processes and technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve the most complex issues elevated from staff. Provides guidance and consultation as required.


What it takes:

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • AWS experience preferred.
