SUMMARY: The Quality Manager plans, executes and leads the Quality function for the site including new product introduction, risk management, product and process validation, control plan, corrective and preventive action and non-conformance, complaint investigation and production support as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Accountability and ownership of Quality metrics including maintenance and reviewing of leading and lagging indicators of quality.
· Report out to TOP Management on performance of Quality System at regular intervals
· Conduct strategic planning with site leaders and other functional departments to establish business planning and resource allocation.
· Support quality improvement initiatives such as process and product characterizations that lead to continuous / cost improvements.
· Review/analyze the effectiveness of PDCA, Kaizen, Lean Techniques and/or other improvement tools and programs.
· Conduct benchmarking to develop more effective methods for improving quality
· Champions efforts to maintain quality system certification to IATF16949, ISO9001 and other related automotive standards.
· Conduct periodic system, process, and product audits. Review results of area audits to ensure that corrective and preventive actions are adequate.
· Lead daily non-conforming material control activities to mitigate risk of outflow to customer.
· Conduct investigation, documentation, review and approval of non-conformances, CAPAs and customer complaints. Escalation of quality issues as appropriate.
· Analyze/review the effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions. Review root cause investigation according to an established process.
· Partners with global and domestic material suppliers to ensure appropriate application of process validation, process control, and risk management; and the investigation/correction of process failures when needed.
· Work with New Model team to develop PFMEA and control plans consistent with product classification, potential defect types, defect frequency, severity, process capability, process controls, etc.
· Collect data and execute/conduct various analytical/statistical analysis and interpretation as part of process improvements and day-to-day support.
· Assess the effectiveness of measurement tools, destructive tests, non-destructive tests, measurement system analysis.
· Document, justify, review or analyze whether a proposed change to a process will not enhance the risk level in some way beyond the capability of current controls or whether a change will result in potential non-compliance to a required standard such as the HSQM or MAS Quality Manual. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assistant Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Supervisors may report to this position. QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to
write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER SKILLS:
