Job Description

Pay range is $20.75 - $22.88

Position Summary                                                        

Responsible for driving community residents to and from scheduled destinations with a strong focus on hospitality and service.  Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of community vehicles. 

 Essential Duties                                                       

  • Drives residents to and from specified destinations as scheduled including doctor and dentist appointments, grocery shopping, recreational events, and other errands.
  • Pushes, pulls, lifts wheelchair / walkers and all mobility devices.
  • Safely secures all passengers and mobility devices before transport.
  • Monitors residents’ overall well-being and reports any changes of resident status to supervisor.
  • May train CLC drivers, including classroom instruction, and orientation to community vehicle(s).
  • Ensures that Safe Driving and Motor Vehicle policy guidelines are followed. 
  • Responsible for maintenance (or scheduling maintenance) of CLC vehicles and maintains records as required by supervisor.
  • Maintains the emergency safety kits within CLC vehicles.
  • Maintains a reasonably clean appearance of vehicles inside, and out. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience                          

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a Colorado MVR in good standing and meet the organizational driver standards at all times. 
  • Minimum of 6 months professional driving of Senior Adults experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate to and from destinations using maps.
  • Must have basic computer skills in Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills

 Working Conditions / Physical Requirements     

  • Position requires moderate physical work by lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • May be exposed to mechanical hazards from operating company vehicles.
  • Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
