As a Child Care Specialist, you'll have the remarkable chance to contribute directly to the growth of young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role works in collaboration with a team of experts, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. It is an entry-level role and does not require prior certification; we provide complete training for this position.

The role is a great fit for:

  • Recent college graduates looking to jump start their career: Psychology graduates, special education graduates, child development grads, teaching degree holders, or similar

  • Anyone with childcare experience and who loves kids: Child care providers, paraprofessionals, nannies, babysitters, preschool teachers, day care workers, Montessori teachers or assistants, tutors, substitute teachers, childcare volunteers, Sunday School teachers, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Offer one-on-one support to children aged 2-6 in a clinic environment, guided by science-backed, naturalistic therapeutic methods

  • Implement intervention plans crafted by expert clinicians in behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapy

  • Team up with the child's healthcare professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with children aged 2-6, ideally in a professional capacity

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Computer and tablet literacy

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential, as well as an ability to meet specific physical demands of the job

  • Preference for college graduates or people pursuing a college degree
