POSITION OVERVIEW:

A3GEO, an RMA Company, is seeking a full-time Staff Geotechnical Engineer or Soils Engineering Technician to join our Berkeley, California team. A3GEO is an established geotechnical consulting firm where people collaborate, innovate, build enduring relationships, and grow professionally. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct onsite construction observation and testing services including nuclear gauge field density testing, concrete sampling, earthwork operations, and foundation installations.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Review and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Perform laboratory testing.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct geotechnical field investigations.
  • Prepare boring logs.
  • Prepare written reports.
  • Work responsibly, safely and in a manner that reflects well upon the firm.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The following minimum requirements apply to this position.

  • U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelors degree in related field (civil engineering, geology, construction management, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Valid CA drivers license and good driving record.
