This is your opportunity to join the Signal Processing Technology Group as a Signal Processing Technologist. The team's primary goal is to design, architect, and implement Digital Signal Processing algorithms on a variety of high-performance processing platforms - including CPUs, FPGAs and GPUs, for next generation radar systems deployed on land and sea.

What You Will Do

  • Work with signal processing software and algorithm SMEs to develop robust, scalable, performance driven architectures to be deployed on large scale computing systems.

  • Assist in developing architecture and design of high throughput/high performance computing platforms utilizing general purpose CPUs, FPGAs, and GPUs.

  • Work with systems, hardware, FPGA, and software engineers to understand end-user requirements and apply implementation on new and established processing platforms. Subsystem level requirements development and verification.

  • Develop integration and test plans, procedures, and conduct execution of functional, performance, and environmental testing at the subsystem level.

  • Collaborate with captures teams to establish processing solution technical baselines.

  • Support implementation of solutions in stakeholder programs - including both programmatic and technical scope.

  • Subcontract management and technical oversight of subcontracts. Develop SOWs, task statements, cost evals, action item tracking, SDRL reviews.

  • This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Marlborough, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years' of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' of prior work experience.

  • Experience in processing systems architectures.

  • C++ application development experience in Linux environments.

  • Experience with Linux system administration.

  • Experience with Python and/or shell scripting.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required post-start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Highly preferred BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Software Engineering. Advanced degree desirable.

  • Radar domain knowledge.

  • Experience developing applications for GPU.

  • Working understanding of parallelism and concurrency as applied to algorithm implementation on shared memory and distributed systems.

  • Experience implementing DSP or control algorithms in C++ meeting latency and/or throughput requirements.

  • Experience in software tools: Git, Jenkins, Googletest, CMake.

  • Continuous integration and test experience in a hardware / software laboratory environment.

  • High degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
