Overview:
Kelly Engineering is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor at our client located in Stanton, TN where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of the operations of a brand new, state-of-the-art EV Battery Manufacturer. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong leadership skills to lead our maintenance team to success. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Review safety metrics and drive improvement initiatives.
- Act as a liaison for safety audits and compliance checks.
- Direct maintenance processes to enhance quality metrics.
- Develop and implement strategies to tighten tolerances and improve functionality.
- Coordinate resources to ensure smooth start-ups and operations.
- Lead meetings and analyze constraints to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Promote continuous improvement to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Optimize equipment efficiency and throughput to meet budget objectives.
- Manage material control and maintenance programs to maximize productivity.
- Supervise skilled trade employees and foster a positive work environment.
- Develop team capabilities and provide mentorship.
- Participate in scheduling and production coordination meetings.
- Plan and prioritize maintenance activities to maximize equipment effectiveness.
- Integrate maintenance plans into departmental business objectives.
- Utilize systems to document and analyze maintenance activities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in skilled trades or technical support.
- 3-5 years of automotive experience preferred.
- Ability to work any shift in a 7-day pattern.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work remotely during the initial plant start-up phase.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.
