Responsibilities:

- Leadership Excellence: Create work assignments, review tasks, set performance standards, and evaluate employee performance.
- Policy Development: Update policies for the department, Cancer Registry, and all Performance Improvement activities.
- Data Management: Collect and process data for reports, surveys, and research projects, contributing to the department's immediate and long-term goals.
- Cancer Registry Support: Monitor and support the Cancer Registry program, maximizing opportunities for improvement.
- Coding Oversight: Effectively audit and monitor outpatient coding units, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Revenue Cycle Support: Communicate with HIM Senior Director and Coding Managers to support revenue cycle activities and key performance indicators.


Qualifications:

- Acute Care Experience: Three to five years of progressive medical records management experience in a hospital-based HIM environment.
- Coding Credentials: CCS or CPC certification is required for this position.
- Health Information Administration: Registered Health Information Administration or Technician.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated technical, interpersonal, and management skills with knowledge of ICD-10-CPT-4 coding and HIPAA regulations.
