About Us: CFS of New York is working with a leading manufacturing company known for its commitment to quality and innovation. They are currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Calculate wages, deductions, and adjustments accurately based on timekeeping records and other relevant information.
- Review and verify payroll data for completeness and accuracy before processing.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other departments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and reconcile payroll-related accounts.
Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
