We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

 

Job Description

The Senior Payroll Tax Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely research and maintenance, filing, payment, and issue resolution for all client payroll taxes.

This includes calculating, filing, and submitting payment for original and amended taxes based on agency-specific requirements, researching and tracking assigned tax notices from agencies and assigned tickets from clients and service departments, proofing other specialists' work to identify any errors for correction before they are sent out, and performing audits and collaborating with agencies and internal business partners to manage and maintain accuracy on client tax actions.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year of administrative, accounting, payroll, data entry, or related experience
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach to work
  • Ability to use computer applications, printers, copier, fax machine, and telephone
  • Intermediate computer skills in Excel, MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Web-based Platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics, accounting, tax, and finance principles
  • Advanced knowledge of complex auditing, reconciliation, and general ledger principles
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting and principles
  • Demonstrated experience in customer relationships with moderately to very complex products and services with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to use self-discretion, time management, and prioritization of daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to perform research and effectively solve problems
  • Ability to build trust and collaborative relationships
