Senior Industrial Architect

- Coordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexity
- Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviews
- Create project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlines
- Serve as the point of contact for teams and clients
- Collaboration with clients on project requirements
- Create monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner; Update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthly
- Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirements; Ensure design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely manner
- Collaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of projects during all phases of design and construction; Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation
- Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested
- Respond to and resolve client/construction concerns; Manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals
- Program development.
- Site planning and ordinance review
- Preparation of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents
- Prepare code reviews
- Coordination of documents with related engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Suppression, Structural, and Civil
- Develop written reports/studies
- Develop cost estimates for projects
- Product / material specification development
- Assist in the continuous updating of department standards and contract specifications.
- Design of building environments (including, but not limited to, building enclosure, and interior office, lab, production, and storage areas)
- Check shop drawings (manufacturer's submittals of proposed equipment and systems to be used on the project)
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff
- Build, maintain, and develop client relationshipsRequired Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career path
- Adept in the technical aspects of one's discipline
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and OSHA compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Hazardous Material Codes a plus
- Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit software
- Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
- Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysEducation and Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Architecture, or equivalent, required
- Architecture License required
- 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industryPhysical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
- Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
