Location: In Office, with 50% Travel

We seek a motivated and technically skilled Outside Sales Representative to join our team and drive business growth by building strong relationships with customers and delivering tailored solutions to meet their pumping needs.
Position Summary:
As a Technical Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and acting as the primary point of contact for our customers. You will travel up to 50% of the time to visit client sites, conduct product demonstrations, and consult with customers to provide the best sanitary diaphragm pump solutions for their specific requirements. Success in this role requires a strong technical background, a consultative sales approach, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase market share in the food, beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.
- Identify and engage new business opportunities and develop strong relationships with potential customers.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, showcasing the benefits and features of our sanitary diaphragm pumps.
- Consult with customers to understand their processes and requirements and recommend appropriate pump solutions.
- Work closely with internal engineering and technical support teams to ensure accurate product specifications and seamless delivery.
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, providing regular follow-up, technical support, and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events to promote the company’s product line and network with industry professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer contacts, and forecasts using CRM software
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in sanitary process equipment or related fields.
- Strong understanding of sanitary standards and requirements in the food, beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
