Position: Customer Service Specialist (Claims)

Location & Schedule: Overland Park, KS. Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm local time

Worksite Arrangement: Hybrid 3days/week in office

Starting Compensation: $20/hr

Overview:

Avenica is currently evaluating talent for a Customer Service Specialist for Claims in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for customer service inquiries from members and handling claims and file reviews. Great opportunities for long-term growth

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assign and register new claims in the database
  • Service incoming customer calls
  • Receive new losses and verifies accuracy of information via coverage.
  • Register loss information in the system.
  • Perform all file updates on system as directed
  • Prepare all loss registration forms.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years previous of claims processing or related insurance experience.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in an office setting
  • Professional written and oral communication skills to effectively provide service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
