Sr. Claims Consultant, Commercial Risk

If you are interested in contributing to a client-focused team that is passionate about helping our clients and their construction projects succeed, please take a look at our open opportunities.Position Summary: The Sr. Claims Consultant will work directly with clients to assist with all claims falling within the programs we have placed. In addition, you will assist with various Risk Management needs such as claims program development and training. Our mission is to provide best in class claims services to our clients and advocate on their behalf.Principal Responsibilities:Serve as technical resource (both internal and external) as respects any claim activities for clientsLiaise between Client/CRP/Carrier/TPA on all claim related mattersAssist with developing Risk Management Programs and Policies for clientsParticipate in new business/prospect meetingsDevelop relationships with key third party vendor experts including Defense Counsel, TPAs, Adjustment Firms, etc.Facilitate and participate in any claim related meetings with carrier and TPA partnersParticipate in Stewardship Meetings with account team, you will be responsible for leading the claims discussionAssist in reporting new losses for clients, including reviewing for proper notice to appropriate coverages and following through to claim closureWork with Client and CRP Account Executive to create standardized wording in contracts for both Additional Insured and Defense & Indemnification languageReview contracts for potential tender opportunities and discuss merits with Carrier/TPA partnersDevelop Special Account Instructions for clients to be used in the handling of their claims with carrier/TPA partnersProvide Emergency Claims Response to clients on an as needed basisDevelop and maintain strong working relationship with insurers, wholesale brokers, and other strategic industry partnersParticipate as requested in developing and executing CRP’s corporate level goals and initiativesProvide strategic support and technical expertise to other CRP offices as requestedComply with agency management system processes and proceduresOther duties as assignedEducation, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree5 – 10 years of Property and Casualty claims experiencePrevious NY Workers Comp AND NY Labor Law experience (required) Previous Construction Industry experience (strongly preferred)Strong working knowledge of policy language and coverage (multiple lines of coverage a plus)Strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong working knowledge of various computer systems including MS Office and its various applications. As well as familiarity with various claims and RMIS systems.Demonstrate firm’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.The starting pay is $120,000 – $155,000 plus.
