Duties * You will serve as the primary initial point of contact for victims of sexual assault for the Commander. * You will provide 24/7 support for victims' immediate needs, assess all safety concerns, provide victim information on resources that are available. * You will develop and implement an appropriate plan of action in crisis situations. * You will complete and maintain required program files and client records and assist the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator in compiling program reports, data and evaluations. * You will conduct professional level and educational and interactive training Workshops/seminars on sexual assault. * You will conduct assessments with clients to determine needs and evaluate safety and levels of risks; assess urgency of cases and develops plans for assistance. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. * Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Catch a Serial Offender (CATCH) Program, Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID). * This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. * Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program; directing, sustaining and overseeing prevention and support programs and activities; providing guidance and resolution to victim advocates ensuring integration, transparency and system accountability for sexual assault awareness, prevention, response, training and victim care is achieved.
