**Job Description**:
**SUMMARY**

Provides experimentation and operations support to Experiments Division (ExDiv.) with regards to Operations Management Support to enable live force experimentation efforts and inform the combat development process.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Common Experiments Division Technical and Functional Support tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

- Participate in and report on site surveys and other planning events.
- Serve as observer/controllers, watch officers, data collectors and in other support billets during training and execution of live-force experiments.
- Collect, record, analyze and interpret the events occurring in live-force experiments or simulations to include wargames.
- Participate in the data reduction, analysis and assessment of information taken from experiments.
- Participate in and support the construction, production and delivery of briefs, reports of any type, presentations, and conferences to review experiment findings.
- Plan the development of process, procedures, design, coordination, and execution of User Evaluations (UE), Limited Technical Assessments (LTA), Limited Objective Experiments (LOE), MAGTF Integrated Experiments (MIX), Advanced Naval Training Exercises (ANTX), Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWE) and other experiments.
- Create DOTMLPF recommendations in writing and edit interim and final reports on UEs, LTAs, LOE's, MIXs, ANTXs, AWE's and letters of instruction for experiment execution.
- Support working groups, operational planning teams and other designated efforts with administration, organization, and facilities.
- Review information papers and other briefs/documents as required to support experiment efforts.
- Coordinate with the Futures Analysis Cell and Experiment Design Cell at MCWL/FD to provide input for the Data Collection and Analysis Plan (DCAP) for specific experiments.
- Provide risk assessments and recommendations during planning and execution of experiments.

Specific Operations Management support tasks include but are not limited to the following:

- Coordinate all aspects and phases of experiment operations and training planning and execution.
- Assist the Ex Div. Operational Planning Teams (OPT) in identifying problems and recommending solutions in concept-based experiment planning and execution.
- Assist in coordinating and developing the Master Scenario Events List and Data Collection and Analysis Plans (DCAP), site selection, documenting, analyzing and drafting results of experiments in standard report formats.
- Assist in the development and design of recommended programs of instruction to support the training and integration of an experiment force, opposition force, and exercise control personnel and units.
- Assist in the evaluation of experiment forces to ensure individual Marines or units with their associated equipment possess the baseline skill set required for experiments.
- Develop recommendations on transition implementation of experiment plans and research impacting training across the capabilities development process.
- Assist Training and Education Command (TECOM) representatives in developing training and readiness tasks and training plans for implementation of approved experimental capabilities.
- Coordinate with range personnel and/or within the Range Facility Management Support System for all range and training area/facility reservations and use.
- Assist in the preparation of briefs and presentations as required to support operations or training related topics.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**

None.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Fundamentals of Acquisition Managements (ACQ 101 or an equivalent course) required.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid TOP SECRET Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/CSI) security clearance. (U.S. citizenship required).
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
- Must have an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
- Must possess working knowledge of the Marine Corps, its missions and structure.
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Military education equivalent to experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

**Job Requirements**: WORK SCHEDULE**

40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

**TRAVEL**

Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.
