Applied Control Equipment , an Emerson Impact Partner and leading automation and controls provider, is seeking a Mechanical Services Sales Specialist to join their Everett, WA team.
If you have experience as a machinist’s mate, valve technician, instrumentation technician or related role , this is a career you need to explore. This position does require travel as needed.

- Identify and cultivate opportunities with new customers and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with all key valve services customers.
- Manage and coordinate the pursuit of in-house and field valve service opportunities.
- Lead and/or support each opportunity through the following phases: Project Identification, Pursuit Strategy, Proposal Generation, Execution, Project Completion and Customer Satisfaction Follow-up.
- Serve as an outside sales resource and subject matter expert for all valve services, including:
- Control, relief, ball, gate, globe, and check valves
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators
- Instrumentation and accessories, i.e. solenoids, switch boxes, digital positioners, controllers, etc.
- Installation, maintenance, and commissioning services
- Initiate, assist, and document walk downs to determine job scope, valve data, and valve location.
- Communicate to the inside sales team any additional equipment required to perform the requested service engagement.
- Comply with customer safety standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (respirators, goggles, hearing protection, etc.) when visiting customer facilities.
- Understand and comply with generally accepted industry standards, such as ANSI, ASME, API, NBIC and others, as they apply to valve service.
- Look for opportunities to provide additional value to customers that also deliver incremental business for Applied Control and Emerson.
