A leading manufacturer in the plastics industry, specializing in high-quality blow-molded products is looking for a Plant Manager in their Denver location. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in blow molding, proven leadership skills, and a track record of improving plant performance and productivity. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire and manage a diverse team while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.


Plant Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations. Optimize production schedules and resource allocation to meet customer demands and company goals.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of blow molding techniques to drive process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices. Ensure the maintenance and optimization of blow molding equipment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage staffing levels, conduct performance reviews, and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications. Address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a safety-conscious culture and implement programs to reduce workplace accidents and hazards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall plant performance. Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control measures and capital expenditure planning. Monitor financial performance and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, safety incidents, and quality control results, to senior management.


Plant Manager Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant management role within the plastics manufacturing industry, with a strong background in blow molding operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in conflict resolution and employee development is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of blow molding processes and equipment. Familiarity with automation, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in plant safety and compliance.
