Job Description:

The Senior Developer is responsible for requirements gathering, software design, and implementation of software solutions to meet the needs of the business. This individual will support and develop the management applications.

Essential Duties

Engineering and Development – 65%

· Gathers requirements from Product Owner & end-users.

· Translates requirements into robust solution designs.

· Plays a lead role in the design, development and implementation of solutions.

· Provides leadership in the evaluation of existing and emerging development technologies.

Team Processes – 15%

· Configures and manages team source code & scrum/Kanban system.

· Participates in Product Backlog Planning Sessions.

· Leads continuous integration processes such as build, test & release management.

Support Team Activities – 10%

· Participates in staff hiring processes.

· Mentors other Developers.

· Shares knowledge with colleagues.

· Supports IT infrastructure tasks as needed.

Customer Support– 10%

· Facilitates resolution of Help Desk Tickets.

· Trains end-user representatives on application functionality.

Education, Work Experience and Training Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent experience.

· At least 10 years of experience developing commercial or enterprise applications.

· At least 10 years of experience developing with .NET, C#, ASP.Net, AngularJS and SQL Server. React native mobile experience a plus but not required.

· At least 5 years of experience developing with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Knockout.

· Experience implementing solutions across the entire software development lifecycle.

· Experience with an Agile development methodology such as Scrum, Kanban.

· Experience with code management tools such as Git, TFS, etc.

· Experience with Continuous Integration practices such as automated build and test & release management.

· Experience with development patterns/principles such as test-driven design, domain-driven design, functional style, interface-design, dependency inversion, etc.

· Knowledge of automotive dealership operations is a plus but not required.

· Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply knowledge to solve technical and business problems.

· Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, as well as function effectively as a team player.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Thorough understanding of business practices, processes and workflows.

· The ability to maintain effectiveness in a rapidly changing environment and the willingness to respond quickly and positively to change.

· Ability to handle multiple competing initiatives while still meeting deadlines.

· Strong business acumen.

· Results-oriented with an ability to carry projects through from conception to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner, while remaining understanding of client needs and corporate goals.

· Excellent written and verbal communication with an ability to effectively communicate strategic goals.
