What is my role?

The Director of Sales position is essential in driving Hybrid’s growth in Specialty Market and online. The ideal candidate should already have a working relationship with major Specialty retailers and be experienced at developing annual and quarterly sales plans, strategies, and implementation steps. They will oversee and conduct sales portion of regular company management meetings, review monthly and year to date variances in results and work internally with other teams and departments to run reports needed to measure business performance. The best candidate must have the ability to establish sales plans, implement, drive to execution, and gain results. They are highly results-oriented, driven, analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent creative problem-solving skills.


What You’ll Do

  • Define and lead the sales objectives and strategies within margin goals for assigned accounts such as Box Lunch, Hot Topic, Forever21, PacSun, Tilly’s, Fashion Nova and others.
  • Lead Retail relationships to ensure successful expansion of our market share and presence within the appropriate channels.
  • Accountable to achieve sales targets, budgets, profits and manage to margin expectations per account.
  • Develop existing and new business to drive key account and evaluate new programs. Identify category/program opportunities and implement/monitor programs for pricing, competition, distribution, sell-through and ROI.
  • Bridge the gap between departments such as: Licensing, Creative, Sales and external partners to ensure that everyone is kept fully informed of all pertinent information.
  • Daily communication with partners including:
  • Weekly/ Quarterly Selling Reports
  • Creative Needs and Updates
  • Major issues with approvals and/or deliveries
  • Day-to-day needs
  • Establish and maintain all business, creative, and approval workflows that meet the individual needs of each partner.
  • Maintain all marketing and licensing/brand tools to be used by the cross-functional teams including the marketing calendars
  • Bi-weekly retail shopping/shopping reports will be a key responsibility


What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of sales and merchandising experience in the apparel industry
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel required
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Adept at influencing skills, including effective relationship selling
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Customer service experience helpful
  • Self-Motivated team leader with strong passion and drive for growth
  • Efficient with time and resources management – ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of our customers and our business
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and communication with all stakeholders, internal and external
  • Organized, creative, and passionate about apparel and consumer behavior
