Spur Aviation is a leading provider in US Government wildland fire contract services, and is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Office Assistant/Contract Specialist to join our team in Twin Falls, Idaho. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our operations and maintaining efficient administrative processes.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fast learner with the ability to grasp new concepts and procedures quickly.
  • Previous experience in office administration or a similar role is required
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks.
  • Friendly phone skills and negotiation skills
  • Experience with government contract billing is a plus.
  • Previous accounting experience and knowledge is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office communications and handle inquiries promptly.
  • Prepare accurate billings for government contracts and ensure timely submission.
  • Maintain meticulous records of aircraft operations and update manuals as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for pilots, addressing their queries and providing necessary support.
  • Collaborate closely with our accountant to review and process payroll efficiently and assist in managing financial records and reporting.
  • During fire season, pilot needs and contract concerns must be handled promptly. This means an occasional phone call after office hours or on weekends.
