Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult Detention Deputy to join our team at Twin Falls County, ID. As a key member of our Sheriff's Office, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our detention center, as well as providing exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Maintain Facility Security: Ensure the safety and security of the detention center, including monitoring inmate activities, patrolling secure areas, and operating electronic doors and security systems.
  • Process Inmates and Maintain Records: Process new inmates, including fingerprinting, photography, and data entry, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide Support Services: Assist with the distribution of medications, mail, and personal hygiene items, as well as prepare and serve meals.
  • Transport and Escort Inmates: Transport and escort inmates as assigned, ensuring their safety and security during transit.
  • Investigate Incidents and Prepare Reports: Investigate incidents occurring within the detention facility, prepare reports, and serve arrest warrants and court documents as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as successful completion of the Department's Field Training Program.
  • Idaho Driver's License: An Idaho driver's license is required, as well as the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently.
  • Background Investigation: Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprints and a polygraph examination.
